CODE OF CONDUCT
""

We have worked on 12 projects for The Global Fund of various sizes, with 75% of projects being translated into multiple languages. The five-module Code of Conduct course was required in six languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic).

The client wanted the course to be interactive, experiential and aimed at new starters to their CCM team. They also wanted us to capture specific learner data that was collected throughout the course, but did not have capabilities within the LMS.

The course was aimed at all new starters in the CCM team, so we designed a scenario-based course in Articulate Storyline using fictional characters and countries. The learners were provided with key information before following a new starter through the induction process and a range of scenarios.

We included various interactive features, such as incoming emails, messages and phone calls for the learner to interact with, as well as a range of inventive and engaging assessment questions; these features helped to clearly demonstrate how the learning from the course would be used in practice. Finally, we created custom JavaScript to pass course data to a Google form which was updated live in line with learner submissions.

We built the course in English first; once it was fully signed off, we exported all text and scripts, passing them on to our trusted partners for translation. With an extensive roster of voiceover artists, the client was able to select narrators and characters for each language. Given the number of languages and complexity of the interactions, the translation process required a lot of coordination and reformatting. We worked closely with the client’s reviewers to ensure that everything was accurately translated and presented for all languages.

The course was launched as mandatory learning for everyone joining the CCM team across the world and also issued to existing colleagues. Creating the course in six languages ensured that it was accessible to all team members. The additional data that was captured helped the learning and development team identify any additional learning requirements.

Thank you for the collaboration on the elearning courses we worked on. You’ve all been wonderful professionals to work with — big thanks!”
